Falcons take down HEROIC 2-1 at IEM Dallas
Falcons are through to the playoffs at IEM Dallas 2025 after a close 2-1 series win over HEROIC in the Group B upper bracket semi-final. The match started on Ancient, where Falcons closed it out 13-9. HEROIC fought back on Nuke and forced overtime, eventually taking it 16-13. But Dust2 flipped the script entirely, with Falcons storming to a 13-3 win behind a career performance from m0NESY. His AWP work on the decider was unstoppable, capped off by a long-distance no-scope headshot through Mid Doors that left HEROIC stunned.
The full series had its swings, but Falcons looked more comfortable in the pressure moments. Ancient was tight until halftime, but Falcons pulled away with control in the second half. Nuke saw momentum shift back and forth, ending with HEROIC barely scraping by in overtime. On Dust2, there was no contest. Falcons dominated from the first round, and HEROIC never recovered.
m0NESY was the clear difference maker. His individual impact throughout the series, especially on Dust2, turned what could’ve been a 50-50 match into a statement win. Magisk and TeSeS chipped in with solid support, while NiKo played a steady role across all three maps. On the other side, HEROIC couldn’t generate enough firepower to match up, with xfl0ud and yxngstxr trying to carry the load but falling short under pressure.
