Vitality Defeat Spirit to Reach Lisbon Grand Final
Vitality took down Spirit 2-1 in the BLAST Open Lisbon semi-finals. They dominated Anubis (13-6), got crushed on Nuke (5-13), and fought back on Mirage (13-10). Now, they face MOUZ in the grand final.
Spirit Put Up a Fight
Vitality started strong, shutting down Spirit on Anubis. But Spirit struck back hard on Nuke, winning 13-5. Mirage was a battle, but ZywOo and ropz led Vitality to victory.
Vitality’s Winning Streak Continues
The semi-final kicked off with Anubis, Spirit’s map pick, where Vitality looked dominant. Despite strong individual performances from Spirit’s top fraggers, Vitality’s well-coordinated plays and aggressive map control led them to a convincing 13-6 victory.

However, Spirit retaliated fiercely on Nuke, overwhelming Vitality with superior positioning and clean executes. They took control early and never let up, crushing Vitality 13-5. As one of Spirit’s strongest maps, they capitalized on their experience and forced the series to a decider on Mirage.
The mirage proved to be a battleground of resilience. Spirit managed to take the lead at certain moments, demonstrating their ability to outmaneuver Vitality tactically. "Despite Vitality being the stronger team on paper, Spirit put up a battle-worthy performance. Their top fraggers were highly active on the server, even outpacing their opponents on the first map, which they ultimately won," analysts noted. But when it mattered most, Robin "ropz" Kool and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut stepped up, leading their team to a hard-fought 13-10 victory.
