In an intense match during the Opening Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 CS2, Passion UA was defeated by BIG on the map Mirage with a score of 9:13.

Despite a valiant effort, After an impressive first half, Passion UA, led by Rodion "fear" Smyk replicate the comeback seen earlier by Team Liquid, could not, ultimately suffering their first defeat of the tournament.

BIG managed to close out the match in the second half, securing their spot in the next stage. Passion UA will now look to bounce back and regroup for the upcoming rounds.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 is the first-ever Major hosted in China by the tournament operator Perfect World. It also marks the second Major in the history of CS2. This prestigious competition will take place in Shanghai, with matches hosted at the World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and the Oriental Sports Center.
