The second day of the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024 tournament has come to a close. The format of the event leaves no room for second chances, as teams exit the tournament after a loss in a series. Let's take a look at the teams that have exited BLAST Premier, as well as those still in contention for the main prize of $50,000 and a spot in the Spring Finals.

A brief summary of the matches on the second day of BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024

In the first encounter of the day, Team Liquid faced off against the Portuguese team sAw. Despite having experienced and threatening players like YEKINDAR, CadiaN, NAF, and Twistzz, Team Liquid couldn't find their game and increasingly disappointed their fans. The international lineup failed to overcome the tier-2 Portuguese team, losing the series 2-1 and not even securing five rounds on the final map. Team Liquid exited BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024. sAw's next opponent will be Cloud9, who easily eliminated Rare Atom from the tournament.

The second match featured OG and Complexity Gaming, with Complexity being the favorites. After winning the first map, many lost faith in OG. However, k1to and company managed to win the opponent's map pick and then edged out COL on the deciding map, pointing out their weaknesses in attacking Ancient. OG won 2-1 and will face Heroic in the next stage of the tournament.

In the final match of the day, Monte, with sdy standing in due to BLAST regulations not allowing substitutions before the event, faced off against the Brazilians from Imperial. It was an easy victory for the Ukrainian organization, winning 13-8 on Nuke and 13-5 on their map pick, Mirage. The match ended 2-0 in favor of sdy and his team. Monte's next opponent will be Metizport, who sensationally defeated Team Falcons with S1mple in the lineup.
