FaZe Clan faced a tough challenge against OG in the opening round of Group C at BLAST Premier Fall Groups. The team led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen had to dig deep for a 16-14 win on Inferno before stepping up their game on Mirage, securing a convincing 16-9 victory.

Unlike many other teams, FaZe Clan maintained their roster during the break, heading into the fall season unchanged. However, they did experience a coaching change as Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström decided to step down from his coaching role, leaving FaZe Clan without a coach. Both karrigan and Robin "ropz" Kool praised RobbaN's impact on the team and acknowledged the void left by his departure. Although they haven't found a replacement yet, they are actively exploring options.

Before the match, there were discussions about OG's firepower being a potential concern. In pre-match interviews, Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and Casper "ruggah" Due highlighted the star roles of Maciej "F1KU" Miklas and Dion "FASHR" Derksen, alongside AWPer Iulian "regali" Harjău, as the main fragging sources for the team. Regali lived up to expectations, delivering an impressive performance with 27 kills on Inferno and finishing the series as the top fragger with a 1.14 rating.

With this win, FaZe Clan advances to the upper-bracket final where they will face the winner of the G2 vs. Liquid matchup. Meanwhile, OG will have to battle against the loser of the same game.

The match kicked off on OG's map pick, Inferno, and it quickly turned into a fierce contest. FaZe Clan secured the pistol round and extended their lead to 3-0, thanks to notable contributions from karrigan. However, OG responded with impressive Deagle plays, winning their first round. Nexa and his team then took control, securing an 8-3 advantage by the end of the first half. This solid performance set them up nicely to take the lead in the series.

FaZe Clan struck back immediately by winning the second pistol round, bringing the scoreline closer. OG managed to secure a couple of hero rounds, courtesy of nexa and regali, but FaZe Clan's lead proved too difficult to overcome. A crucial 1vs3 clutch by regali on the A site allowed OG to tie the scores at 14. However, FaZe Clan executed a successful Apps attack, reaching map point and ultimately closing out the game with rain's impressive triple kill on the B split, securing a 16-14 victory.

Moving on to Mirage, FaZe Clan carried their momentum from Inferno as rain continued to make an impact with a triple headshot in the pistol round. They quickly built a 6-1 lead. Despite OG's efforts to mount a comeback, reaching seven rounds on their CT side, F1KU and FASHR shining with remarkable plays, FaZe Clan remained dominant. OG's offense struggled to find success, managing to win only one round for the remainder of the half. FaZe Clan's strong performance allowed them to secure a convincing 16-9 win on Mirage, advancing to the upper-bracket final against the winner of G2 vs. Liquid.
