IHC Esports leaves IEM Rio Major 2022

The IHC Esports team lost to OG with a score of 0:2, thus leaving IEM Rio Major 2022. According to the results of the Challengers Stage, the Mongolian team suffers a third defeat and takes 20-22nd place, earning $10,000. In turn, the OG team goes to the fifth round, where they will compete for a ticket to the "legends" of the major.

The next fight for elimination from the tournament started on the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of the Mongolian team. However, OG players quickly seized the initiative on the server, showing a strong start in defense. And yet, IHC Esports managed to slightly equalize their position, closing the gap — 9:6. After the change of side, the Mongols tried to join the fight. But here the representatives of Asia made a number of mistakes that the opponent took advantage of. As a result, OG finally killed the intrigue, and then took the lead in the series — 16:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Ancient map, which became the choice of OG. At the same time, the teams showed a very equal start, constantly pulling the blanket over themselves. And yet, in the end, IHC Esports managed to gain a foothold in defense and get a minimal advantage - 8:7. After the change of sides, the Mongolian team quickly strengthened the gap, at some point risking closing the map in their favor. But again, OG managed to insist on their own to make a mini-comeback and snatch victory at their own peak — 16:14.
