00NATION and Imperial Esports upset the public by leaving IEM Rio Major 2022

The second gaming day of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage has come to an end, following which the teams 00NATION and Imperial Esports upset local fans by being eliminated from the home championship. However, now the players of both squads will prepare for the show match, in which the Brazilians will play against Sweden.

At the same time, the MOUZ and Bad News Eagles teams got their third victory in the championship, thanks to which they made it to the Legends stage. Well, we propose to sum up the results of the last third round and present the available layouts.

Third round of IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage

The game day started with several confrontations in the BO1 format. In the first case, the Latin American team 9z managed to defeat Evil Geniuses (19:17), just as in the parallel match Outsiders unexpectedly outplayed Vitality (16:12). In the next portion of the confrontations, the BIG team confidently outplayed Grayhound Gaming (16:6), while FURIA got a strong-willed victory over OG (19:16).

Then the fans saw full-fledged series, in the first of which the MOUZ team beat fnatic (2:1) and made it to the "legends". At the same time, the Mongolian team turned out to be stronger than 00NATION (2:1), knocking out the Brazilians from the championship. Already late at night, Bad News Eagles managed to get a victory over GamerLegion (2:0) and made it to the next stage of the championship. At the same time, the Cloud9 team managed to cope with Imperial Esports (2:0), upsetting the Brazilians again.

IEM Rio Major 2022 takes place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,250,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
