Teams Outsiders and 9z got the second victory at IEM Rio Major 2022. According to the results of the game day, the teams turned out to be stronger than Vitality (16:12) and Evil Geniuses (19:17), respectively. Tomorrow, November 2, the teams will play in the fourth round of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage, where they will compete for tickets to the "legends" of the major.

Evil Geniuses - 9z

The starting confrontation of the third round took place on the Nuke map. But if the starting segment went in an equal fight, then after six rounds the North American team got used to the game of 9z. As a result, Evil Geniuses managed to confidently finish the half on defense, gaining a twofold advantage — 10:5. The change of sides greatly cheered up the Latin Americans, who quickly caught up with the opponent and returned the intrigue to the server, reaching out to overtime. Here, 9z still managed to put the squeeze on her opponent to get the second victory in the tournament — 19:17.

Vitality-Outsiders

A parallel meeting took place on the Overpass map. Here, the wards of zonic managed to win the pistol series, at some point taking the situation under their control. However, with each round, the players of the Outsiders began to feel more and more confident, having managed to secure a victory at the end of the first half — 8:7. After the side switching, Vitality again managed to win the pistol series and again the team could not keep the lead. Well, in the end, the initiative was seized by the players of Outsiders, who were able to spin up in defense and got an important victory — 16:12.
