G2 Esports secured a confident 2:0 victory over FaZe Clan in the second stage of ESL Pro League Season 23. The European squad maintained full control throughout the series, leaving their opponents with no chance for a comeback.

Map veto:

  1. FaZe removed Inferno
  2. G2 removed Nuke
  3. FaZe picked Dust2
  4. G2 picked Ancient
  5. FaZe removed Anubis
  6. G2 removed Overpass
  7. Mirage was left over

The series began on Dust2, where G2 completely dominated their opponents. The team quickly seized the initiative, winning most of the opening rounds and fully controlling the pace of the game. FaZe failed to find answers to their opponent’s aggressive style and managed to secure only a single round. In the end, G2 closed the map comfortably with a crushing 13:1 score.

Ancient proved to be a much closer contest. FaZe looked more competitive and tried to stay within reach on the scoreboard, but G2 consistently secured key rounds in crucial moments. Thanks to coordinated team play and strong individual performances, they gradually extended their lead and eventually closed the map 13:10 to seal the series.

Match MVP

The MVP of the match was malbsMd from G2. He delivered a dominant individual performance, finishing the series with 119.4 ADR and a 1.82 rating, consistently winning key duels and setting the pace for his team throughout the match.
