The FaZe Clan team turned out to be stronger than Complexity with a score of 2:1 as part of the ESL Pro League Season 16, thus making it to the quarterfinals of the tournament. Here, RobbaN's wards will play with the Cloud9 team, which became the winner of group D. In turn, the North American team completes its journey in the championship, taking 9th-12th place.

The second match within the playoffs started on the Overpass map, which became the choice of the North American team. But if the starting advantage remained with Complexity, then closer to the changeover, the FaZe Clan players managed to rectify the situation and reduce the gap to a minimum — 8:7. After the side switch, RobbaN's wards won the opening rounds. But here there was a defeat in the round from naked pistols, after which Complexity took control of the game and quickly took the lead in the series - 16:9.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of FaZe Clan. At the same time, the problems of the leader of the world ranking continued here, because after a couple of successful rounds, FaZe Clan gave the initiative to the opponent and limited themselves to only five rounds in attack - 10:5. After the change of sides, the game was divided into two segments. In the first one, Complexity had excellent chances to close the match in their favor. However, the second segment predetermined the outcome of the confrontation, since here FaZe Clan made a comeback and brought the fate of the fight to the death — 16:14.

Everything was decided on the Nuke map, the first half of which ended with a twofold advantage in favor of FaZe Clan — 10:5. After the change of sides, the North American team never managed to recover, allowing the opponent to get a strong-willed victory and reach the quarterfinals — 16:8.
