Thanks to this victory, the North American team takes the third place in group D, ensuring itself a place in the next stage of the competition. In turn, Cloud9 remains in first place, directly getting into the quarterfinals.
The main confrontation of the last gaming day started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the North American team. At the same time, despite the starting advantage, the "liquid" slightly let go of the situation and allowed the opponent to get closer to arm's length - 8:7. However, after the side switch, Team Liquid showed a confident attack, with which they successfully took the lead in the series — 16:10.
Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, which became the choice of Cloud9. At the same time, the teams showed two equal halves, naturally moving to overtime. Here, the North American team managed to take one round on the attack, after which they switched to defense and closed the series in their favor — 19:17.
