The Cloud9 team turned out to be stronger than FURIA with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they secured access to the quarterfinals of ESL Pro League Season 16. In turn, the Brazilian team suffers the first defeat in the group stage of the championship, thereby risking missing the playoffs.

The final meeting of the game day started on the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. However, the first half was completely controlled by the Cloud9 players, who played excellent defense and got a twofold advantage in the score — 10:5. After the side switch, the Brazilians failed to return to the game, while Cloud9 quickly consolidated their lead and then took the lead in the series — 16:8.

Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, which became the choice of Cloud9. But if the start of the first half was left for the wards of the groove, then closer to the change of sides, FURIA managed to return to the game and reduce the gap to a minimum - 8:7. In the second half, the teams continued to keep the audience in suspense, not letting go of each other. However, in the very ending, Cloud9 managed to adapt to the opponent's game in order to break his economy and get the final victory in the series — 16:14.
