Outsiders easily beats FTW at ESL Pro League Season 16

The Outsiders team turned out to be stronger than FTW with a score of 2:0 within the framework of ESL Pro League Season 16. Thanks to this victory, dastan's wards got another points and became the leader of group B. In turn, the Portuguese team will start preparing for the next match, having two defeat.

The opening meeting of the second game day in group B started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Portuguese team. However, the first half was not remembered as an equal struggle, as the Outsiders players showed exemplary defensive play and actually decided the outcome of the map in advance - 12:3. After switching sides, FTW managed to win the pistol series, thus reviving the intrigue for a few minutes. And yet, the Outsiders quickly woke up and took control of the game to easily and confidently take the lead in the series - 16:8.

The teams then moved on to the Dust 2 map, which turned out to be the choice of the Outsiders. At the same time, the start was left for the Portuguese, who showed several successful rounds for defense. And yet, the Russian team managed to come back in the half, thus gaining a minimal advantage over the changeover — 8:7. In the second half, FTW was unable to show the fans the fight. At the same time, the Outsiders quickly finished the opponent on defense, thanks to which they scored their second victory in the championship — 16:10.

In the next round, the Outsiders team will play with FaZe Clan. In turn, the Portuguese team will meet with the G2 Esports team.

ESL Pro League Season 16 runs from August 31st to October 2nd in Malta at the Salini Resort. 24 teams from Europe, CIS, North and South America compete for a total prize pool of $835,000. The winner of the tournament will receive the main prize of $175,000, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023.
