G2 Esports won the match against FaZe Clan with a score of 2:1 (Inferno 7:16; Anicent 16:13; Dust2 16:5). G2 guaranteed themselves a spot in the playoff semi-finals.

  1. G2 removed Overpass
  2. FaZe removed Vertigo
  3. G2 picked Inferno
  4. FaZe picked Ancient
  5. G2 removed Nuke
  6. FaZe removed Mirage
  7. Dust2 was left over

The first Inferno map was very easy for FaZe Clan. Starting on the defense side, they immediately took an 11-round streak, which looks very intimidating. G2 Esports only managed to take two rounds in the first half on Inferno. After switching sides, G2 take the pistol round, but then give up the second round. G2 has no money left and they allow the enemy to take the 15th round into their piggy bank. There was an attempt to slightly correct such a devastating score, but the result is the same - FaZe Clan take the opponent's pick 7:16. After such an uncertain performance by G2 Esports on the first map, it looked like 2:0 for karrigan's charges.

The second map, Ancient, got off to a better start for G2 Esports. And although they gave away the pistol round, they managed to win the next round. After that, they showed not bad defense, however, the top 1 team of the FaZe Clan world knows how to attack Ancient. They took a comfortable 6 rounds per attack, but it's not to say that 9 rounds for G2 is a terrible result. Teams have already made it a trend to win the pistol round and then lose the second round. But even despite this, according to the results of the first rounds after the switchover, FaZe Clan confidently led 10:12, at this moment many stopped believing in G2, because everyone knows that the attack on Ancient is the weakest side of the entire CS map pool: GO. But it was not there. Firepower came from where it was least expected. Aleksib showed a great performance on Ancient, which led the team to victory on the map. 16:13 in favor of G2. Team captain Aleksib had more kills than anyone else, finishing the map 26-21.

The third map ended with an unexpected result. The teams still continue to win the pistol round and lose the second round, this time to FaZe Clan. Their defense didn't stick at all, and G2 showed that it was not in vain that they pick the Dust2 card for themselves so often, which very conveniently became decisive. G2 attacked very well, so well that they won 11 rounds in the first half. After switching sides, the already beloved pistol won and the next one lost, but now for G2 Esports. But it was the only round for FaZe Clan's red car. Their vaunted firepower simply did not appear on the third map, none of the guys managed to get more than 13 kills and get into positive KD. The map ended with a score of 16:5 for G2 Esports.
