Cloud9 Close to Relegation, MOUZ Leaving IEM Dallas 2022

The Mousesports team is eliminated from the IEM Dallas 2022 tournament. Cloud9 failed to beat FURIA in the upper bracket.

Mousesports vs Vitality

  1. MOUZ removed Dust2
  2. Vitality removed Ancient
  3. MOUZ picked Inferno
  4. Vitality picked Mirage
  5. MOUZ removed Overpass
  6. Vitality removed Nuke
  7. Vertigo was left over

The first map in this confrontation was Inferno, the Danes-French started on defense. Vitality had a lot of problems in the first half of the map, even winning the pistol round didn't help them much. It has already become normal for zonic's charges to make mistakes out of the blue, very often their aggression for defense played in favor of the "mice", and also the careless play of captain apEX'a led the team to the minority. The half ended 7:8 in favor of Mousesports. The side switch began with Vitality giving up a 4v3 pistol round with the bomb planted, knowing that all opponents were coming from the banana position. “Mice” led with a score of 7:11, but they managed to lose 8 rounds in a row. They failed to comeback to overtime. 16:14 in favor of Vitality.

The second map did not work out for MOUZ at all, 4 rounds won for defense on the Mirage map are extremely few. Yes, and for the attacking side, they managed to take only the pistol round, force and eco opponents. 16:7 in favor of the Danes-French. It is noteworthy that after finishing the streak, none of Mousesports went into positive K/D.

MOUZ take 9th-12th place in the tournament and become the 5th team eliminated from the tournament. They got $5,000 per team.

FURIA vs. Cloud9

  1. Cloud9 removed Nuke
  2. FURIA removed Dust2
  3. Cloud9 picked Vertigo
  4. FURIA picked Mirage
  5. Cloud9 removed Ancient
  6. FURIA removed Overpass
  7. Inferno was left over

The first card in the bo3 series was Vertigo, which is one of the best cards for FURIA, although it was picked by C9. Cloud9's attack couldn't surprise at all, unlike their Brazilian opponents. Only 5 rounds per attack, it was not enough to defeat FURIA, besides, C9 did not manage to win a single pistol round, which also greatly affected the outcome of the map. 16:9 for the Brazilians.

The second map already looked more interesting, both pistol rounds went to the defense side, but even with this, the Brazilians managed to demonstrate a good attack and take the side in their favor with a minimal margin. The side switch happened, FURIA gained enough rounds to dominate the map, but C9 managed to make a streak of 5 rounds per attack, but even that was not enough. FURIA is content with winning the map 16:13 and winning the series 2:0.

It was Cloud9's first defeat in the tournament, and therefore they are still afloat, in the lower bracket they will have to try their hand against the NIP team.
