AMANEK to take over as G2 Esports Coach for IEM Katowice 2022 Semi-Finals

The European esports organization G2 Esports has announced that AMANEK will take over the duties of the team’s coach in the IEM Katowice 2022 semi-finals. Recall that on the eve of XTQZZZ, he contracted the coronavirus and was forced to miss the championship playoffs.

AMANEK went to Katowice as a stand-in in case one of our players couldn't continue to compete. The whole team is feeling good today, so he will do his part by supporting the team.

AMANEK has been playing for G2 Esports since March 2019. The 28-year-old French esportsman helped the team win several big championships, including Good Game League 2019 and Champions Cup Finals, as well as take second place in the Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Cologne and PGL Major Stockholm 2021. However, at the beginning of the new season, the player left the starting G2 Esports roster, rumored to have begun the process of forming his own team with kennyS.

Earlier, ESL released a security protocol according to which players who tested positive for coronavirus cannot take part in the IEM Katowice 2022 playoffs. These rules affected not only G2 Esports, which was left without its coach, but also FaZe Clan, the team continued with the jks as rian failed to recover before the start of the championship playoffs.

In the quarterfinals of IEM Katowice 2022, the G2 Esports team will face NAVI. Previously, the team managed to beat Virtus.pro with a score of 2:0. Interestingly, in this match, the manager of the NiaK team stood behind the backs of the players.
