IEM Katowice 2022 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held from February 15 to February 27 in Katowice, 24 teams from all over the world fought for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as ranking points in the ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier tables. The winner of the tournament was the FaZe Clan team, which in the grand final was stronger than G2 Esports with a score of 3:0 (Inferno - 19:15; Mirage - 31:27; Dust 2 - 16:14).

The tournament for the future winner started from the Play-In stage, during which FaZe Clan outplayed Sprout (16:12) and MOUZ (2:1), thanks to which they made it to the group stage of the competition. Here the team confidently reached the final of the upper bracket, beating Team Liquid (2:1) and Fnatic (2:1). However, in the final of the group stage, the team lost to NAVI (1:2), thus gaining a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

In the playoffs, FaZe Clan had to play with jks as a substitute, since rain never managed to recover before the start of events at Spodek Arena. However, this did not prevent the team from beating Gambit (2:0) and Heroic (2:0) to get to the grand final. In the decisive match, the team gave everything to survive in a tense struggle against G2 Esports (3:0).
