ropz will miss the start of IEM Katowice 2022
/ropz has announced that he will miss the start of IEM Katowice 2022. According to the player himself, he tested positive for coronavirus just a few days before the start of the competition.
My team and I arrived at our bootcamp before IEM Katowice 2022 on Monday. Today I unfortunately tested positive for COVID, I also developed some symptoms. I won't be able to compete at IEM on the first day but may return later depending on my recovery and our team's progress. I am already in quarantine to ensure safety, it will end on February 19th.
The FaZe Clan team will play the first few days of IEM Katowice 2022 without ropz after a 22-year-old Estonian developed symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. If the esportsman recovers on time, he is expected to return to action on February 19 once his ten-day quarantine period ends.
ropz himself noted that he learned about the coronavirus infection a few days after arriving at the FaZe Clan bootcamp before the start of the championship. The player showed some symptoms of illness, and after receiving the test result, he was isolated from other team members.
That said, the team has yet to name the player who will fill in for ropz during the first few days of IEM Katowice 2022, which starts on Tuesday, February 15th.
Recall that FaZe Clan will start its journey to IEM Katowice 2022 from the Play-In stage, where it will play against the Sprout team in the first match.
