IEM Winter 2021 Group Stage Draw Presented
4587The organizers have presented the results of the group stage draw for the upcoming IEM Winter 2021. Let us remind you that the championship will be held from December 2 to 12. It is expected that IEM Winter 2021 will be held in a studio format, however the organizers have not yet named a specific city for the event.
Group A includes the finalists of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 - team G2 Esports. The Balkan-French team will be accompanied by Astralis, Ninjas in Pajamas, Team Vitality, TYLOO, Team Liquid, OG and MOUZ.
The second group includes the following teams: Gambit Esports, Virtus.pro, fnatic, GODSENT, ENCE, Heroic, BIG and FaZe Clan.
Three teams from each group will advance to the IEM Winter 2021 playoffs, with the first-place teams going directly to the semi-finals of the championship. At the same time, the teams that will take 2nd and 3rd places, respectively, will start their way to the playoffs from the quarter-finals stage. All matches of the tournament will be played in BO3 format, with the exception of the grand final. The main match is expected to be played in the BO5 format.
