FaZe Clan, G2, Gambit and Entropiq secured victories at the start of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Legends Stage. Now the teams are waiting for their rivals in the second round of the championship.

Evil Geniuses - FaZe Clan

The meeting began on the Dust 2 map, where the starting advantage fell into the hands of the North American team. However, FaZe Clan quickly leveled its economy in order to gain defensive confidence and a snazzy lead after the first half. After the changeover for Evil Geniuses, a troubled time began altogether, as the team finally closed in defense, giving the initiative to the opponent. Well, the European team gladly took advantage of this opportunity, having issued the lightest defeat in the first match - 16: 6.

G2 - Copenhagen Flames

A parallel meeting took place on the Ancient map. And if the first half ended under the dictation of the Danish team, then after the changeover, G2 quickly restored the status quo. At the same time, a series of mistakes from Copenhagen Flames allowed the opponent to gain confidence in the economy and finally seize the initiative. As a result, G2 confidently closed the half, recording the first victory at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Legends Stage - 16:11.

Gambit - ENCE

The next meeting started on the Overpass map, which on paper seemed convenient for both teams. However, the Russian team quickly seized the initiative in the match, showing a fairly structured attack. At the same time, even after the change of sides, Gambit continued to pressurize, imposing its own rhythm. In such a situation, the team had no choice but to formalize a confident victory over the opponent - 16: 7.

Liquid - Entropiq

In a parallel match, the events took place on the Vertigo map. And if the starting advantage went to the North American team, then closer to the side switching, Entropiq managed not only to return to the game, but also to become the leader. The second half started with a slight advantage for Liquid, who, having won a series of starting rounds, got closer to their opponent. However, a series of annoying mistakes from the North American team allowed Entropiq to gain an advantage, and at the same time to get a sensational victory over the opponent - 16: 9.
