Necrophos is the strongest lane hero in Dota 2
Yuriy SheremetNecrolith is increasingly appearing in games; lately, some professional teams have fallen in love with it. The hero perfectly stands his lane in the mid lane and is able to drive out a large number of heroes, thereby gaining his initial advantage and starting to give enemies from the first minutes.

Capabilities
Death pulse
The hero releases a wave of death around him, which damages enemies and heals allies.
- Death Pulse interrupts Necrophos's channeling spells upon cast.
- The wave travels at a speed of 400 units.
- Affects invisible units and units in the Fog of War.
- Does not affect invulnerable or hidden units.
- Affects couriers: heals an allied courier, but does not damage the enemy.
Ghost shroud
The hero opens a connection with the world of the dead, slowing down enemies around. In this form, he cannot attack, receives increased magical damage, but is protected from physical attacks and regenerates his health and mana faster.
- Interrupts Necrophos's channeling spells upon cast.
- Applies a ghostly form to Necrophos, disarming him, making him invulnerable to attacks and granting 100% physical resistance.
- Reduces Necrophos' total magic resistance to -5%, given its base resistance of 25% and not considering other sources of resistance.
- Applies Healing, Health Regeneration, Mana Regeneration, and Mana regeneration enhancements, but not Spell Lifesteal or Spell Lifesteal.
- The health loss from Heartstopper Aura is health-draining damage, so it does not trigger any damage-responsive effects. It is also not affected by increased spell damage.
- Does not affect ancient creeps.
- Choosing a damage-increasing talent will not affect creatures until they leave and are back in range.
- Killing a hero immediately adds 6 charges, which restore up to 147/189/231/273 health and mana for the entire duration.
Stuns the targeted enemy hero, and then deals damage to him proportional to his lack of health. A hero killed by this ability respawns for 15/25/35 seconds. longer than usual. Killing an enemy while affected by this ability counts towards its owner.
- The damage is calculated and dealt at the end of the stun.
- Deals enough damage to kill a hero (before reductions) if the target has a maximum of 41%/44%/47% of its health.
- If the selected creature was killed by an ally, then the kill does not count as a finishing move - the killer will be Necrophos.
Death Seeker (Requires Aghanim's Shard to unlock.)
Fires a single, fast, large Death Pulse projectile at the target enemy or ally, healing and damage increased by 50%. Upon reaching the target, the projectile will apply Death Pulse around the target.
- If the target is invulnerable or hidden when hit by a projectile, then Death Pulse will not be released.
Ability boost
First of all, Death Pulse must be maxed out, then the Heartstopper Aura passive and, last of all, Ghost Shroud, but it’s worth taking it once so that you can knock off the focus.
Talents
Items
Examples of builds:
At the initial stage, you should buy a hood faster in order to absorb a lot of damage and be able to enter the epicenter of the fight. There used to be options for playing through Radiance, but in the current meta it is very slow. Our main goal is to live as long as possible in a batch and thereby inflict damage on enemies.
Gameplay
Necrophos is unique in that it stands well on any lane. In the current meta, Nekra is most often taken on mid to win a lane and drive away his opponent. We constantly need to farm and maintain the pace, because without items and the level of the hero is very weak.
Necrophos is not suitable for ganking lanes, so it is better to stay on your lane for as long as possible and try to farm the maximum number of artifacts at the initial stage of the game. The best thing that Necrophos can do at the beginning is, in a critical situation, fly to the lane with the help of a teleporter and help his allies. But again, this should only be done if you are sure that your help will be significant and you will not waste time. For Necrophos, the loss of time at the beginning of the game is very critical.
In the mid lane, you need to try to drive out the opponent as early as possible and start pushing the tower, with the help of the first skill we will quickly kill a pack of creeps and push the lane.
Finally, I would like to note that Necrophos is a fairly situational hero and you shouldn't pick him in every game. This hero is especially good when pushing and is very strong in the first half of the game. In general, of course, the hero is not difficult, with only two active skills, but this simplicity is deceiving. To play effectively on Necrophos, you should understand some aspects of the game and be able to competently act as part of your team.
Peaks and counter peaks
The most unpleasant heroes against Nekr are those who can inflict instant damage: Lion, Lina, Zeus. Against them, stitching a second skill in the batch is equal to suicide. The hero also suffers greatly from silences: Death Prophet, Silencer, Night Stalker and Doom.
We play well against fat heroes who like to trade health in a batch, as well as against illusionists.
