Team Liquid and Giants Gaming advance to the semi-finals of the VCT 2021 EMEA Stage 3 Lower Bracket
/Another gaming day at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs has come to an end. Based on the results of two interesting matches, we learned the names of the next teams that dropped out, as well as those who will continue to fight in this championship. By the way, according to the results of the last day, none of the vouchers to VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin suffered.
The first duel was a drama between Team Liquid and forZe. However, already on the first map, the Russian team lost ground, doing nothing both in attack and defense. The final score 13: 7 in favor of the European team perfectly reflects the situation on the first map. Next, the teams got to Breeze, where forZe tried to cling for a long time. Nevertheless, a series of unsuccessful rounds in the end predetermined the outcome of the meeting, and at the same time the continuation of the tournament path for the Russian team.
It was much more interesting in the evening, because Guild Esports and Giants Gaming met. The intensity of passion could be felt even on the first card, which surprisingly went in favor of Davidp and the company. And yet the Swedes made Giants Gaming tremble as they managed to win the opponent's best map, making a comeback in the second half along the way. However, the story did not end there, because at Ascent we again saw overtimes, which this time went in favor of Giants Gaming - 2: 1.
Today, August 19, in the framework of the championship, two meetings will take place: Gambit will play with Team Liquid, while G2 will try to rehabilitate itself in a match with Giants Gaming.
