Gambit Wins VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs
VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs has ended. At the championship, which was held online from August 12 to 22, 12 teams from Europe, the CIS and Turkey fought for a total prize pool of € 85,500, precious VCT Circuit Points, as well as four tickets to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin.
The winner of the championship was the Gambit team, which beat SuperMassive Blaze with a score of 3: 1 in the grand final (Ascent - 1:13; Split - 13:11; Bind - 13: 5; Haven - 13: 3).
For the Russian team, the fight began gloomily, as SuperMassive Blaze showed incredible performance at the peak of Gambit, giving only a round to the hosts. However, on the second map, the situation began to level out in favor of the Gambit players, who were able to snatch the victory and equalize the score in the series.
It was then that the Turkish team swam, unable to do anything with the courage of the Russians. As a result, on the remaining two maps, Gambit seized the initiative, allowing SuperMassive Blaze to take only eight rounds in total. The final victory of the Russian team and the first trophy at the international level of this kind.
