VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025: EDward Gaming defeated G2 Esports

In the second round of VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 and the second match of the game day, G2 Esports faced off against EDward Gaming. It took three maps to determine the stronger team. Let’s take a look at the results of the match.

The first map of the series was played on Pearl, where both teams struggled to secure a decisive victory, even after multiple overtime rounds. However, in the end, G2 Esports managed to close out the game in their favor with a score of 18:16.

On the second map, Bind, the Chinese team EDward Gaming put up a strong defensive performance, securing an impressive 8 rounds—a significant feat for the defensive side in the current meta. In the second half, they had no trouble finishing what they started, forcing a third and final map. Bind ended with a 13:8 victory for EDward Gaming.

The last map, Fracture, saw G2 Esports starting on the attacking side, but EDward Gaming delivered an outstanding defensive performance. The Chinese team secured an incredible 11 rounds on the traditionally weaker defensive side of Fracture. As expected, making a comeback from such a deficit was nearly impossible, especially after G2 Esports lost the pistol round after switching sides. This sealed their fate, as EDward Gaming closed out Fracture with a dominant 13:4 victory, winning the series 2:1.
