The FunPlus Phoenix team defeated KRÜ Esports with a score of 2:0 in the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2022. Now the European team will compete with XSET for the right to get into the playoffs of the competition. In turn, the KRÜ Esports team goes to the lower bracket of group C, where they will play with XERXIA.

The second match of group C started on the Icebox map, which became the choice of the Chilean team. At the same time, KRÜ Esports showed a confident attack, instantly seizing the initiative on the server. As a result, FunPlus Phoenix finished the first half with a disastrous score, creating problems for itself out of the blue — 9:3. However, after switching sides, the Europeans managed to return to the game and brought the map to overtime. Here, the FunPlus Phoenix players did not let go of the opponent, having managed to take the lead in the series — 14:12.

The teams then moved to the Bind map, which became the choice of FunPlus Phoenix. Once again, the Chilean team showed a convincing start, managing to spin up in defense and close the half with a minimal advantage — 7:5. However, after switching sides, FunPlus Phoenix was able to quickly close the gap and then take the lead. KRÜ Esports didn't have enough for the ending, having revealed all the cards to the opponent. As a result, the European team managed to close their own peak in their favor, and at the same time get their first victory in the championship — 13:10.
