FunPlus Phoenix Reveals Roster at VALORANT Champions 2022
The FunPlus Phoenix team has unveiled the roster for the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2022. As expected, the team will play in Istanbul as the main roster, while rhyme will be the backup player in case of emergency. In addition, the club has completed the coaching staff by introducing neilzinho as a new analyst.
With VALORANT Champions 2022 just around the corner, we'd like to welcome rhyme and neilzinho as an alternate and analyst respectively. rhyme has shown impressive results and IGL skills during his time in North America. We believe that he will bring more diversity to the team in the upcoming tournament. neilzinho was previously the Head Coach of G2 Esports and made significant progress last season. We believe that his experience will be of great benefit to our team throughout the tournament.
rhyme made a name for himself back in 2020 when he joined Ninjas in Pajamas. Together with the team, the 24-year-old Norwegian became the champion of GLX Elite: EU and VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Challengers 1, and also made it to the top three at WePlay! Invitational and VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 1.
The last team in rhyme's career was Gen.G Esports, with whom he took second place in the Proving Grounds $20k - Spring 2022. However, back in July, the Norwegian left the team with which he failed to succeed in North America.
In turn, neilzinho made a name for himself as the head coach of G2 Esports, with whom he reached the semi-finals of VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin.
