Another LOUD player infected with coronavirus

Riot Games has announced that a second LOUD player has tested positive for COVID-19. The Brazilian esports organization confirmed that the affected player is Less.

The health and safety of players and staff at VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík is our highest priority. As a precaution against the coronavirus, all participants are required to undergo quarantine and testing, regardless of vaccination status, in order to be eligible to participate in the event. Besides. all participants must periodically take a PCR test during the event.

During mandatory testing, a LOUD player tested positive for COVID-19. According to our rules, if a player is feeling well enough to compete, they can take part in a scheduled LAN match from the quarantine zone. At the same time, his teammates will compete from the next room. However, the order of the matches may be changed.

Recall that on April 9, another LOUD player, aspas, passed a positive test for coronavirus. In turn, Less tested positive the next day, April 10. According to LOUD, Less is asymptomatic while the player himself is vaccinated. Both he and aspas will not be able to compete from the stage. However, they will play from an isolated room, while the rest of the LOUD members and their rivals will compete from adjacent rooms.

LOUD will kick off the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík today, April 14th. The Brazilian team will play in the quarterfinals of the tournament against Team Liquid.
