Results of the first gaming day at VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters Berlin

The first game day of VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters Berlin has ended, which means that it's time to take stock. Surprisingly, there were no sensations at the start of the championship, and all the favorites won their first victories in Germany.

SuperMassive Blaze - Acend

The game day was opened by a meeting of one of the leaders of EMEA - SuperMassive Blaze and Acend. However, this time the Turkish team failed to impose a fight, first losing on Bind (5:13), and then surrendering on their own peak Ascent (9:13).

Now SuperMassive Blaze will play against the loser of the Vision Strikers - Paper Rex pair for the right to stay in the championship. At the same time, the European team will meet with the winner of the aforementioned pair for the right to advance to the playoffs of the championship.

G2 - F4Q

In Group D, we watched the battle between Europe and South Korea. Despite the apparent difference in class, F4Q was able to impose a fight on the favorite, having bothered to take the second card. Nevertheless, G2 proved to be stronger in individual and tactical terms, recording the final victory with a 2: 1 score.

For the teams, the group stage will continue in a different format, since tomorrow, September 12, G2 will play against the Sentinels. In turn, the South Korean team will meet with the favorite of the tournament a day later, on September 13.

100 Thieves - Havan Liberty

Towards the end of the game day, 100 Thieves blew the Brazilians from Havan Liberty out of their way. And if on the first Ascent map, chosen by the North American team, Havan Liberty took only three rounds, then on its choice of Icebox, the team bothered to earn six rounds at once. Nevertheless, 100 Thieves will win and continue on the upper bracket of the group stage.
