BRION Defeat Dplus KIA in Round 3–5 of LCK 2025

LCK 2025 continues with the Summer Split, moving into Rounds 3–5. Today’s match featured a clash between two Rise Group teams — Dplus and BRION.

Game 1 Picks:

  • Dplus KIA: Gwen, Poppy, Taliyah, Sivir, Karma
  • BRION: Aurora, Wukong, Ahri, Ezreal, Neeko

Game 2 Picks:

  • Dplus KIA: Sion, Zed, Syndra, Senna, Braum
  • BRION: Cho'Gath, Xin Zhao, Annie, Corki, Rell

Game 3 Picks:

  • Dplus KIA: Ambessa, Lee Sin, Ryze, Miss Fortune, Nautilus
  • BRION: Rumble, Trundle, Cassiopeia, Lucian, Alistar

On the first map, BRION had solid ideas and a clear understanding of what needed to be done at specific moments, but they struggled with tempo and team coordination. Wukong often engaged too early, and the rest of the team couldn’t follow up in time, resulting in either lost fights or unfavorable trades. This ultimately led to their defeat in Game 1.

In Game 2, BRION showed much better coordination — their rotations became more synchronized, and they were able to initiate fights on their own terms. This forced Dplus KIA to play reactively. The biggest issue for Dplus was that BRION consistently targeted Syndra (ShowMaker) first in teamfights, eliminating a major source of damage. At that point, Senna wasn’t dealing enough damage to carry teamfights the way Dplus needed. A few poor decisions from Dplus — including mistimed objective fights and tower dives that led to unnecessary deaths — sealed their fate on the second map.

Game 3 was completely under BRION’s control, with Croco earning the MVP title. Playing Trundle, he essentially carried the game solo — always showing up at the right place at the right time, enabling BRION to win every fight. In the end, it was a very comfortable win on the third map and a well-earned match victory for BRION.

Following this match, BRION slightly improved their position in the standings, moving up to third place in the Rise Group with a 6–13 record. Dplus KIA, despite the loss, remain at the top of the group with a 10–9 record.

LCK Summer 2025 Round 3–5 will run from July 23 to August 31. This stage will determine which teams qualify directly for the LCK Playoffs and which ones will have to go through the Play-In phase. The tournament features a prize pool of ₩562,500,000 KRW (approximately $407,919 USD). But more importantly, the top three teams will earn spots at the biggest event of the year — the 2025 World Championship. The stakes are high, and every team is aiming for victory.
