FearX Secure Clean Win Over DN Freecs — LCK 2025 Round 3–5
The second match of the day took place in the Rise Group between FearX and Freecs. This game had no real stakes for either side: FearX had already locked in second place in Round 3–5, while Freecs, to the disappointment of their fans, were officially out of Play-In contention, sitting in last place.
Game 1 Picks:
- Freecs: Ambessa, Wukong, Aurora, Corki, Neeko
- FearX: Renekton, XIn Zhao, Annie, Yunara, Lulu
Game 2 Picks:
- Freecs: K`Sante, Nocturne, Orianna, Zeri, Alistar
- FearX: Sion, Jarvan IV, Ryze, Sivir, Rakan
Game 1
The first game may have seemed close in terms of kills, but in reality, FearX looked much stronger on the map. Their map zoning was excellent, allowing them to freely secure objectives. The game entered its active phase after the 14-minute mark, with FearX holding a noticeable lead thanks to superior farming. A nearly decisive moment came during a fight at Atahan in the top lane, where Freecs lost badly and gave away massive experience due to the Atahan buff and their own deaths. Despite having a clear advantage, FearX didn’t rush things — instead, they kept building their lead and slowly pushed Freecs back into their base. The game ended logically after a fight in the top jungle, where FearX emerged victorious and closed out the game.
Game 2
The second game looked more promising from Freecs. Up until the mid-game, they held their ground confidently, with their main goal being to avoid a late-game scenario — but unfortunately, they couldn’t manage that. Several individual and team mistakes gave FearX opportunities, which they capitalized on. Eventually, Sivir and Sion became too powerful. Freecs couldn’t deal with Sion’s tankiness, and Sivir was dealing overwhelming damage. The match ended with a 2–0 victory for FearX.
FearX’s jungler Raptor earned MVP honors for this match, delivering two stellar performances — going 5/2/13 on Xin Zhao in Game 1 and 5/6/17 on Jarvan IV in Game 2.
This win brings FearX to a 13–16 record. Meanwhile, Freecs now sit at the bottom of the group with a 4–25 score, which officially eliminates them from Play-In contention under any scenario.
