Anyone’s Legend Defeat Hanwha Life Esports in the Quarterfinals of LoL EWC 2025

The Quarterfinals match of the League of Legends Esports World Cup 2025 has concluded, featuring a close and exciting series between Anyone’s Legend and Hanwha Life Esports. Both teams came into the match looking strong and evenly matched, and the games delivered plenty of action. Let’s take a look at how it all unfolded.

Game 1 picks:

  • AL: Aurora, Xin Zhao, Taliyah, Varus, Rakan
  • HLE: Rumble, Trundle, Azir, Xayah, Alistar

Game 2 picks:

  • AL: Sion, Pantheon, Akali, Kai’Sa, Neeko
  • HLE: Yone, Wukong, Ahri, Sivir, Rell

Game 3 picks:

  • AL: K’Sante, Jarvan IV, Ryze, Jhin, Bard
  • HLE: Lee Sin, Kindred, Galio, Ezreal, Leona

The match was played in a Bo3 format, and as the drafts suggest, all three games were played. Despite going the full distance, Anyone’s Legend looked like the stronger team throughout the series. They dominated Games 1 and 3 not only through draft advantage but also with superior strategy and mechanical execution.

The clear MVP of the match was AL’s top laner, Flandre. In Game 3, his K’Sante performance was nearly flawless — incredibly tanky, leading key initiations, and soaking massive amounts of damage for his team. His impact on the outcome was undeniable.

In the end, Anyone’s Legend secured a 2:1 victory and advanced to the Semifinals, where they will face the winner of T1 vs MKOI. Meanwhile, Hanwha Life Esports are eliminated from the tournament, finishing in 5th–8th place.
