The Main Summer Tournament For LoL begins: 2025 Mid-Season Invitational
Today, June 27 at 22:00 EEST, marks the start of the biggest League of Legends tournament of the summer - MSI 2025. The event features the ten best teams in the world right now. Teams qualified for the tournament through their regional splits, facing all the top squads from their regions.
All participating teams:

- KOI
- FlyQuest
- Bilibili Gaming
- FURIA
- G2 Esports
- GAM Esports
The tournament will kick off with the Play-In Stage (June 27 to June 30), featuring four teams: Bilibili Gaming, FURIA, G2 Esports, and GAM Esports. Only two of these four will advance. The Play-In Stage will use a Double Elimination format, with all matches played as Bo5 series.
Next, from July 2 to July 13, the remaining eight teams will compete in the Bracket Stage. Just like the Play-In Stage, the Bracket Stage will follow a Double Elimination format, with all matches played as Bo5 series using the Fearless Draft system.
The tournament prize pool is $2,000,000, with the winner taking home $500,000. But the most important prize is a spot at the 2025 World Championship.
