JD Gaming trampled Rogue on their way to the Worlds 2022 semi-finals

The playoffs at Worlds 2022 have officially started. The main stage of the main tournament of the discipline and potentially the most spectacular event of the competitive year was opened by JD Gaming and Rogue .

The sign of the match was the most epic for such an event: LPL champions JD Gaming and victorious LEC Rogue played for the playoffs. Despite all the introductions, the fight ended in a complete collapse of the last representative of Western Europe.

JD Gaming on two maps used a combination of Aphelios and Lulu, which is popular in the duo bot. The first and second maps ended in less than 30 minutes with the total domination of JD Gaming.

At the matchpoint, JD Gaming with the help of Ornn, Viego, Sylas, Lucian and Nami closed out Maokai, Lee Sin, LeBlanc, Kalista and Soraka. Map 33 minutes and ended with a score of 14-10 in favor of the Chinese team and was the closest for Rogue.

Thanks to the victory over Rogue, JD Gaming are going to the Worlds 2022 semi-finals. Their next opponent in the playoff bracket will be the winner of the T1 – Royal Never Give Up pair.

Rogue occupy the honorary TOP-8, having surpassed all the club's past achievements and showed the best result among European teams this year. The team earned 4.5% of the total prize pool or $100,125.

The 2022 World Championship runs from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. The Play-In stage will take place from September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City, and the group stage will take place from October 7-10 and October 13-16 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The quarter-finals will be played at the same Hulu Theter from October 21-24, the semi-finals will be hosted by the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and the final will take place at the Chase Center on November 5 in San Francisco. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world are fighting for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
