TSM take a new support from the academy straight into the starting lineup

American esports organization TSM has announced a number of changes to its main and academic League of Legends rosters. Wei "Shenyi" Zi-Jie will be promoted to the academy, while Choi "Mia" Sang-in will be promoted to the main roster.

TSM themselves announced this on their Twitter, causing a rather violent and ambiguous reaction from their fans. Half are skeptical of the current League of Legends roster, while the other half support the new support player.

It is worth noting that the wording TSM uses is very inaccurate and vague, without giving specific answers to what the lineups will be like by the beginning of LCS Summer 2022.

“As long as we allow Mia to join the main roster for scrims. His recent performance in Academy Games, Scrims and Ranked Queue deserves attention and a chance to practice with our top players."

That is, in fact, we were told that Mia would just practice with the main line-up, and how it will be by the beginning of the summer split is unknown.

Choi "Mia" Sang-in is a 23 year old esports player from South Korea. Since 2017, they have been constantly playing on the Korean pro scene and most recently in Latin America. He moved to the Northern part of the continent quite recently, just over a month ago, instead of joining TSM Academy.

It is worth noting that the LCS Spring 2022, like the Lock-In tournament, TSM played extremely badly, taking the very last places possible. I believe that it is precisely because of this that the leadership of the organization hopes for a reference player and a “Korean miracle”, which will at least somehow strengthen them in the upcoming tournament.

Although Mia is new to the team, for some reason I am sure that he will be left at least for the first week of the LCS Summer 2022 group stage. Against the background of Shenyi or Yursan, to me personally, he seems much more experienced and stronger. We'll see how it goes!
