The first match of the LEC Spring 2026 Regular Season featured a matchup between GIANTX and Fnatic. The match was played in a Bo3 format using Fearless Draft. Let's take a look at how the match went, the drafts, and the highlights of the series.

Game 2 Picks:

Game 3 Picks:

- Fnatic: Gnar, Wukong, Taliyah, Sivir, Neeko
The first map was completely controlled by GIANTX. From the first minutes, they imposed a fast pace, winning the draft phase against Fnatic. Their draft was much easier to execute and synchronized very well. Active plays across the map from the jungler with a focus on the bot lane and unsuccessful engages from Fnatic led to a heavy snowball for GIANTX. It is also important to note that GIANTX managed to secure all the dragons, which added even more dominance to their draft. Overall, the game went very easily and ended in 25 minutes.
In the second game, GIANTX drafted a very balanced composition unlike Fnatic, who took a lot of damage. It was a risky move requiring almost flawless execution, and they managed to pull it off. Winning the early game helped Fnatic scale significantly, secure the dragons, and build an advantage. Of course, GIANTX made many mistakes in this match, especially their ADC, who was overly aggressive at times. 1:1 and transitioning to the decisive third map.
The third map clearly demonstrated that in the clash between these two teams, whoever secures the early advantage takes the map. GIANTX, and Akali in particular, did an incredible amount of work thanks to fast-paced play. And of course, Vi actively working across all lanes helped in building the advantage. Ultimately, Fnatic could not cope with such pressure when your backline literally dies from one Akali in a few seconds.
