Biography Iceberg
Bogdan «Iceberg» Vasilenko is a professional Dota 2 player of Ukrainian descent. Iceberg is an experienced player who has been a part of many organizations, demonstrating pretty good results. We present to your attention Iceberg’s road to becoming an esportsman.
The beginning of the career
Like the majority of other esportsmen, Iceberg had started his career way before his arrival to a professional organization. Since childhood, he has been fond of video games and sporting activities. Bogdan was boxing seriously in the past but he decided to build his career in esports. However, this decision was not mistaken.
Duza Gaming was the first team Iceberg was playing for. This was a team, which consisted of high-level players. He did not achieve big results with the first club and he left the roster of Duza Gaming after a couple of months.
He became a player of aSpera in 2015 but he did not stay there for long. In September 2015, Iceberg moved to CIS Rejects, with which he was playing at small championships and leagues. Also, the team tried to qualify for various prestigious tournaments, including MLG World Finals, The Frankfurt Major, World Cyber Arena, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 1, and others.
Iceberg became known due to the performances at all the above-mentioned championships.
Iceberg transferred to Team Spirit in December 2015.
Team Spirit
Having become a player of Team Spirit, Iceberg started participating in more prestigious tournaments. For example, the team with him held the 1st place at ProDotA Cup Europe #1, the 3rd-4th place at D2CL Christmas Charity Magic, the 3rd place at UCC Hitbox Championship, and so on. The Shanghai Major was the most memorable tournament for Iceberg on the roster of Team Spirit in 2016. Unfortunately, the team did not prove itself and placed 13th-16th. However, the performance at the championship of this scale did not pass unnoticed. Having played for Team Spirit for a few more months, Iceberg left the roster of the team.
Iceberg moved to Polarity in June 2016 but, having stayed there for three weeks, he became a player of Vega Squadron. With Vega Squadron, he took part in various qualifiers but failed everywhere. The second place at FACEIT Invitational was the most important result, while he was playing for Vega.
Iceberg returned to Team Spirit in December 2016. This time, the team was not able to qualify for the Major event but the second place in the qualifiers for The International 2017 was the most disappointing thing. Having played for Team Spirit a few more months, Iceberg completely left the roster of the organization.
The team FlyToMoon became the player’s next club.
FlyToMoon and Winstrike
Having got rid of the organization, Iceberg with his friends created their own team – FlyToMoon. The team was made to be a success. The team managed to make it to the prestigious tournament, EPICENTER XL, literally in a few months. FTM’s performance at that championship brought even more wondering. The team absolutely sensationally placed 3rd, having overcome the majority of the best teams in the world.
That is not surprising that the team won the upcoming closed qualifiers for The International 2018 without special problems
The team went to The International supported by the organization Winstrike. Iceberg’s team held the 9th-12th at the championship, which could not be called the failed performance.
The team was playing under the tag Winstrike for a few months after TI until it did not leave it again at the beginning of 2019, having become free agents. Iceberg was a player of The Pango for some time but he returned to FlyToMoon a few weeks later, he tried to make it to The International 2019 but, having failed, he became a part of Winstrike again.
For the second time, he did not have to play for Winstrike for long. The roster was disbanded a few weeks later.
Iceberg became a player of FlyToMoon in August 2019. After his homecoming, the team was demonstrating good results.
The team became the champion of LOOT.BET/DOTA in August 2019 and prevailed at Maincast Winter Brawl 4 months later. Iceberg and the company became the champions of Parimatch League Season 2 in March 2020 and held the second place in the third season of Parimatch League in July 2020.
The team won OMEGA League: Europe Divine Division in September 2020, after which the full roster of FTM was signed by NaVi.
NaVi and personal achievements
Iceberg has placed 4th at OGA Dota PIT S3: Europe/CIS, while playing for Natus Vincere.
Iceberg has already earned more than 205,000 dollars of prize money in his career.
