Eastern Europe’s Aurora Gaming outlasted Western Europe’s Tundra Esports 2–1 in the Group C tiebreaker to claim the top spot at the Esports World Cup 2025.
Aurora came out swinging in game one with a high-tempo draft. Nightfall dominated the offlane with early rotations, and kiyotaka delivered clean spell usage in every skirmish. Aurora controlled the map from start to finish, closing the game in just over 30 minutes with a convincing 28–12 win.
Tundra responded in game two with sharp execution and strong teamfights. bzm took charge in the midlane, creating nonstop pressure while Crystallis farmed up and joined big fights with perfect timing. Aurora struggled to find footing, and Tundra cruised through the midgame to a dominant 42–13 equalizer.
With the group lead on the line, game three delivered a 53-minute slugfest. Both sides traded blows, but it was Nightfall once again who proved unstoppable, anchoring the late-game fights and outlasting Tundra's teamplay. TORONTOTOKYO kept his cool on the initiations, and Mira sealed multiple key fights with clutch saves, helping Aurora close it out 36–27 to secure the 2–1 series win.

Aurora now sit atop Group C with a 3–1–0 record and advance to the playoffs as first seed. Tundra finish second at 2–1–1 and also move on. Team Yandex exit in third, while Virtus.pro go home without a single map win. The playoff bracket will be drawn tomorrow, with Aurora and Tundra awaiting their quarterfinal opponents.
