Talon Esports and Xtreme Gaming split the series 1–1 at the Esports World Cup 2025 (BO2)
Talon Esports (Southeast Asia) and Xtreme Gaming (China) shared the points in their Group A clash at the Esports World Cup 2025 after going 1–1 in a hard-fought BO2.
Xtreme Gaming struck first in game one, running over Talon in just over 34 minutes. Xm played a clean Pangolier with big plays around objectives, while XinQ on Lion controlled the tempo from start to finish. Ame also chipped in with solid Lifestealer work, helping Xtreme close out the opener 19–5.
But Talon bounced back in a near 48-minute slugfest on map two. 23savage's Naga Siren farmed up a storm, while Mikoto’s Batrider locked down every key target. Kuku’s Doom also turned fights with perfectly timed initiations, and despite some early pressure, Talon snowballed to a dominant 34–14 win to even the series.

With this result, both Talon and Xtreme Gaming now sit at 0–2–1 records in Group A, with 2–4 map scores apiece. Their playoff hopes are still alive but hanging by a thread going into the final day of group stage matches. Talon face Xtreme again later today in their last series, where only a 2–0 win could keep their top-two dream alive.
