BetBoom and Gaimin Gladiators finish Group B opener 1–1 at the Esports World Cup 2025 (BO2)
BetBoom Team (Eastern Europe) and Gaimin Gladiators (Western Europe) shared the spoils in their Group B opener with a 1–1 draw at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Gaimin Gladiators came out swinging in Game 1, led by watson and tOfu, who dominated teamfights and controlled the tempo from the midgame onward. The WEU squad slowly suffocated BetBoom’s map control before closing out a clean 34–14 win after 42 minutes, with Quinn’s playmaking sealing the deal through multiple pickoffs around the Roshan pit. But Game 2 flipped completely as BetBoom answered with fire of their own. Pure and gpk took over the lanes and midgame, creating chaos across the map. With Kataomi’ and Save- setting up relentless fights, BB Team charged ahead in kills and objectives to close a decisive 44–24 victory in just over 33 minutes.

After the opening day, all four Group B teams are tied 1–1 across the board. BetBoom and Falcons will battle on July 9, while Gaimin Gladiators face Execration in a crucial match to break the deadlock. Only the top two teams advance to playoffs, so every map counts from here.
