From March 8 to March 16, 2025, one of the biggest and most exciting Dota 2 tournaments of the year, PGL Wallachia Season 3, took place in Bucharest, Romania. The tournament featured 16 teams, half of which received direct invitations from the organizers, while the other half qualified through regional qualifiers. As of March 17, 2025, all matches have been played, culminating in the grand final showdown between Team Liquid and Tundra Esports. In this article, we will recap the decisive match and highlight its key moments.

Road to the Grand Final

The PGL Wallachia Season 3 playoffs featured eight teams, including Team Liquid and Tundra Esports. Both teams secured victories in the first round and advanced to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where Team Liquid dominated Xtreme Gaming with a 2-0 victory. Meanwhile, Tundra Esports faced a tougher challenge, losing a hard-fought 1-2 series against Team Falcons. This result sent Liquid further along the upper bracket, while Tundra Esports had to fight their way through the lower bracket for another shot at the grand final.

In the Upper Bracket Final, Team Liquid continued their dominant run, defeating Team Falcons 2-0 to become the first PGL Wallachia Season 3 grand finalists. For Tundra Esports, the road was much tougher—they had to battle through Aurora Gaming (2-1), Team Spirit (2-1), and finally took revenge on Team Falcons in the Lower Bracket Final (2-0) to secure their spot in the grand final.

Team Liquid vs. Tundra Esports

We've finally reached the main event of PGL Wallachia Season 3—the grand final between Team Liquid and Tundra Esports. Interestingly, Liquid were considered the unexpected favorites of this matchup, having remained undefeated throughout the tournament, while Tundra displayed a more inconsistent performance. The match followed a Bo5 format, meaning luck alone wouldn’t be enough to secure the championship.

The first game was a tense battle lasting 53 minutes, with Team Liquid emerging victorious. This win set the pace for the series, giving Liquid a crucial 1-0 lead. The second game was much more dynamic, with Liquid displaying superior strategic play and a stronger draft. Unfortunately for Tundra, the fourth game was completely one-sided. Team Liquid dominated, crushing Tundra Esports with a staggering 36-10 scoreline in just 39 minutes.

Team Liquid Are the Champions of PGL Wallachia Season 3

With a 3-1 victory, Team Liquid defeated Tundra Esports in the grand final, claiming the PGL Wallachia Season 3 championship title. In addition to the trophy, the team secured a $300,000 prize.
