Sensational loss to PSG.LGD and other results of The International 2022 debut matches

The group stage of The International 2022 started today in Singapore. 20 teams entered the fight for the Aegis of Champions and we already have the results of the first stream of matches. About them, a little more.

The easiest start was EG, who played their debut match against Soniqs. The North American giant outplayed his counterparts without any problems, choosing Arc Warden in the first map, and blocking the air with the help of Broodmother on the second map.

The main sensation of the stream happened in the match PSG.LGD - Hokori. The winner of the South American qualifiers represented by Hokori fought for 43 minutes on the first map and, having lost, went to map number two. There was a uniform madness that PSG.LGD could not cope with: Lumiere's Morph left no chance for star Chinese players. The second map of the match ended 34-8 in favor of Hokori.

In the central match of the first stream of games in group A, RNG played Team Liquid. The duel of the grand clubs ended in a draw: both teams confidently exchanged points, even though on the first RNG map they had an advantage of 5k gold.

In the Gladiators match against BetBoom, the team from Western Europe took its toll: the gladiators outplayed BB Team twice on experiments. Beastmaster in position 1 from Daxak on the second map didn't help BB to level the score.

BOOM and OG finished their meeting later. Two-time world champions in a new iteration with fights closed the meeting in their favor. Particularly noteworthy is map 2, where OG had to comeback after falling behind in the lanes and play Naga Siren against Pango and Leshrac.

Behind 5 matches of The International, but this is definitely not a reason to lose heart. Today there will be another 20 fights, some of which are taking place right now.

The International 2022 will be held from October 15th to 30th this year. The top 20 teams from around the world will compete in a LAN format for the title of world champion, as well as the largest prize pool of the year. At the moment, its amount is $15,558,395. The venue will be Suntec Singapore and Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
