Team Liquid advance to The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier upper bracket final

The match ended in the upper bracket semi-final of the regional qualifier in North America for the main event of the year in Dota 2, The International 2022. Team Liquid opposed Goonsquad for the right to reach the winner bracket final. Team Liquid turned out to be the winner in the fight.

The first 15 minutes on the first map passed in an equal fight between the two teams, and the advantage of Team Liquid did not exceed 1,500 gold. At the 17th minute , goonsquad lost an offensive fight, losing almost the entire team, which allowed iNSaNiA and his teammates to take the lead. 37 minutes was enough for Team Liquid to win with a score of 32:7. It is worth noting the performance of miCKe and MATUMBAMAN. These Liquid players didn't die once during the entire fight.

The second card turned out to be more competitive. S4 and the team resisted for 20 minutes, after which Team Liquid were able to gather up and seize the initiative. MATUMBAMAN and team beat goonsquad in 44 minutes to double the series score.

Team Liquid 2:0 goonsquad

Thus, Team Liquid reach the upper bracket final, which guarantees them a place in the top 3 qualifiers. “Liquid” will go to Singapore, where, at least, they will take part in the Last Chance Qualifier. They are separated from the slot in the group stage by victories in 2 matches. Goonsqud's next opponent will be the winner of the Into the Breach match against Team Bald Reborn.

Recall that The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier takes place from September 13 to 17 of this year in an online format. The top 12 Western European teams that did not qualify for the World Championship based on DPC points are fighting for the only slot in the main stage of The International 2022. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers will travel to Singapore to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier.
