Stockholm Major 2022: TSM win their first victory
Ihor MatusThe next matches of the Dota 2 Major tournament have come to their logical conclusion. In the first of them, Fnatic fought against Thunder Awaken, and in the second, Liquid faced the representatives of Team SoloMid. The third match did not take place as the Mind Games were disqualified due to visa issues.
In the first map, Fnatic could not oppose their opponents and were defeated in 22 minutes with a score of 6-27. Armel became the main player of the map with his Storm Spirit. He finished the map with a personal score of 12-1-8. His performance helped the team to gain the upper hand, and after that Fnatic and Thunder Awaken moved on to the second map. There, TA were able to show what was not on the first map. The scenario of this map was very interesting. At first, it seemed that the Bo2 meeting would end with a 2-0 result, and at one point Fnatic went ahead of their rivals by 10,000 earned gold. Nevertheless, Thunder Awaken understood the danger of their position in the standings and were able to pull themselves together and show a comeback. They returned to the game and won the second map. By the way, it ended in 36 minutes with a score of 33-18 in favor of Thunder Awaken.
In the second match, Team SoloMid fought against Team Liquid with SabeRLight- who returned to service. The first map was quite long and atypical for Dota 2 in the current meta. It lasted for an hour and ended with a score of 35-46. Bryle, with his Keeper of The Light, became just as dangerous an assassin as Timado, who played Chaos Knight. On the second map, everything went according to a slightly different scenario. At first, representatives of Liquid had a slight advantage there, but from 24 minutes onwards, Team SoloMid showed that it was they who deserved to win this match more. They finished this fight in 39 minutes with a score of 43-24.
Based on the results of the meetings, Team Spirit took the first place, and Fnatic and TSM now share the second position. The fourth line is shared by three teams at once: Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid and Thunder Awaken. Mind Games took the last line as they were disqualified from the championship due to visa problems.
