How did D2CL Group Stage # 5 end? What will happen in the playoffs?
Ihor MatusThe group stage has come to an end and now we know all the pairs that were formed following the results of the past meetings.
As part of the replay, as we reported earlier, Khan withdrew from the match due to technical problems, which you can read about in our material.
The second match went as planned and Brame failed to defeat NoMarci. This arrangement of things allowed the latter to go to the upper bracket, while Brame were forced to go down to the lower one.
What do we have at the end of the group stage? Such teams as Creepwave, NoMarci, HellRaisers and HYDRA were in the upper bracket. Brame, Team Empire, V-Gaming and Nemiga Gaming will start their way to the lower bracket.
Khan and B8 Esports suffered most of the misfortunes in this championship. B8 Esports, as the main outsider, quite expectedly took the last place in the group stage table with a stats of 0-9. They could not win a single victory during the tournament, and during the entire Dota 2 Champions League Season 5 they took only 2 cards. They managed to take the first one in the fight against Khan, who, by the way, took the 9th place and also left the championship, and the second Dendi and the company were able to take away from HYDRA. Khan took 9th place due to the fact that they could not compete for technical reasons with Team Empire, which also claimed to be in the playoffs. As a result, Empire continued their way in the lower bracket.
Teams that did not qualify for the playoffs received modest cash rewards for their participation in the event, amounting to $ 500. The following teams that leave the event and take 7-8 places in the standings will earn $ 1,000 each.
