The biggest events for CS:GO in October

Several big tournaments with the prize pool over $100,000 for each will take place in October. Today, we are going to tell you about all of them.

October 6 — ECS Season 4

The first of the biggest events in October will be Esports Championship Series Season 4.

ECS Season 4 will be played in two divisions: Northern American and European, 10 teams will play in each region in Round Robin system with bo1 matches. 4 best participants will get a chance to play on Esports Championship Series Season 4 Finals where a huge prize pool will be a reward. The teams that will take 5-8 places in the tournament table will get invites to the fifth season of the league, but won’t join tournament LAN-final. Two worst teams have to participate in ECS Promotion Season 5 where the can rehabilitate themselves and get the invite to the fifth season of ECS. Otherwise, these teams will lose the right to play in Esports Championship Series.

Currently, there is no information when exactly ECS Season 4 Finals will take place, but it is known that 8 teams will participate in final, and they will share the prize pool of $660,000.

October 19-22 — eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS:GO 2017

In this month, in Shanghai, China, and unusual tournament for CS:GO from ZOWIE organization will take place. The participants from 14 regions will play in the event. The qualifier took place in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and also among the countries from Middle East.

LAN-final will take place on October 19 – 22. The prize pool is $100,000.

October 20-22 — DreamHack Denver 2017

LAN-final of the next tournament from DreamHack, that will take place during the DreamHack festival will take place on October 20 – 22.

The organizers won’t create something new, they will host the event as usually: the prize pool will be $100,000, the group stage will be played in GSL system with bo1 and bo3 matches, and play-off will be played in Single Elimination bracket. The winner of the tournament will get $50,000.

This time, the event will take place in the USA, in Denver, the venue for the event will be National Western Complex.

October 23-29 — EPICENTER 2017

This time, EPICENTER will take place not in Moscow, but in other big Russian city, St. Petersburg. The venue for the event will be Yubileyny Sports Palace.

8 teams will compete for $500,000. Six of them have already got their direct invites, while other 2 teams will be determined on Wild Card tournament.

Other details of this tournament are still unknown.

October 27-28 - ESL Clash of Nations

Despite the fact that this ESL tournament is rather big, most of the participants of Clash of Nations are little-known teams. ESL Clash of Nations will take place in Madrid, Spain, on October 27 - 28.

Almost nothing is known about this event except for the fact that the group stage will be played in Swiss system, and play-off in Single Elimination with bo3 matches. No details about prize pool, its distribution, and first matches are known.
