MOUZ Defeats Team Spirit in the Quarterfinals of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025
MOUZ emerged victorious over Team Spirit in a thrilling quarterfinal clash at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. The intense best-of-three series ended 2-1 in favor of MOUZ, with the maps breaking down as follows: Mirage 25:21 (Spirit in the fourth overtime), Dust2 13:9 (MOUZ), and Nuke 13:10 (MOUZ).
Mirage turned into a marathon match, lasting 46 rounds and stretching into four overtimes. Spirit managed to secure the win thanks to a series of impressive clutch plays, particularly from magixx and zont1x.
However, MOUZ bounced back on Dust2 and Nuke, demonstrating a clear and structured playstyle — especially effective on Dust2.
The decisive victory on Nuke was secured through strong team coordination from the German lineup.
With this win, MOUZ advances to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the NAVI vs Vitality matchup.
Meanwhile, Team Spirit exits the tournament, placing 5th–8th and taking home a prize of approximately $45,000.
