Several hours ago, the information appeared that Space Soldiers will miss DreamHack Montreal 2017 because of the visa issues.

The main coordinator of the team, Ahmed Çayli, told about that to theScore eSports portal.

In the press-release, Ahmed Çayli announced the following:

«As you know Turkey is not [a part of] the European Union. We need to apply for visas to Europe, USA, England... actually almost everywhere is asking visas for Turkish citizens. The average visa application period takes two weeks. That's why we always have difficulties if we don't have at least one month between the qualification matches and the main event. In addition to that, especially for the DreamHack Montreal, there is a ... national holiday for a week in Turkey. Thus, the visa bureau won't work.

From both the players and the managers, we are so sorry that we can't attend Montreal, however we deserve to be there.»

Space Soldiers managed to get to DreamHack Montreal 2017 due to the European qualifiers. They defeated coREA, x6tence, Team Spirit Academy with 2-0 score, and beat HellRaisers with the same score in the final match.

Space Soldiers coordinator also told he hoped that DreamHack could have influence this problem somehow and find a solution. At a last resort, he wanted the organizers would give an invitation to the next DreamHack tournament.

Currently, there is no information who will replace a Turkish team on DreamHack Montreal 2017. The organizers will reveal this information later.
