Virtus.pro failed revenge match. Polish players did not manage to defeat the winners of the first Major-tournament of 2017, the Astralis team.

Everything started pretty good for Virtus.pro. They took the map with no extra efforts. The de_nuke battle ended with 16:7 in favor of VP.

After that, Astralis worked on their mistakes, analyzed the game and redeemed themselves in the next map. They defeated the opponents in de_overpass, leaving them no chances for winning and took a map with 16:4 score. The next map, de_mirage, was a decisive one. de_mirage played even better here and managed to defeat Virtus.pro with 16:3 score.

Interesting fact: in DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017 semi-final match, Virtus.pro defeated Astralis with the same score — 16:4 and 16:3.

In the result, Astralis managed to win the first showmatch with $250,000 prize pool in the history of esports, and Virtus.pro went home with nothing.
