
Budapest Major 2025: Viewer Pass, Sticker Slab, and New Game Updates
A major update dedicated to the Starladder Budapest Major 2025 was released today. In addition to the Viewer Pass, Valve added a new item — the “Sticker Slab” — a charm that “seals” any sticker and can be attached to a weapon. Team stickers, player autographs, and several gameplay updates were also added.
StarLadder Budapest Major

Purchase the Budapest 2025 Viewer Pass to receive the upgradable Budapest 2025 Coin. With the active pass, you can level up your coin and earn additional souvenir packages by playing the Pick’Em Challenge. You’ll also be featured on the Active Pass Leaderboard, where you can compare your Pick’Em results with friends.
Two versions of the Budapest 2025 Viewer Pass are available:
- Budapest 2025 Viewer Pass – $9.99
- Budapest 2025 Viewer Pass + 3 Souvenir Tokens – $17.99
Before each Major stage begins, you must make 10 predictions:
Stage I
- Choose one team to finish 3–0.
- One team to finish 0–3.
- Seven teams to advance.
Stage II
- The same structure applies, but VRS-invited teams joining Stage II will appear together with the teams that advanced from Stage I.
Stage III
- Predict eight teams that will reach the Playoffs.
Playoffs
- Predict the winners of the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the grand final.
Each correct prediction progresses your Budapest 2025 Coin.
Sticker Slab

A new item has been added — the “Sticker Slab” — a charm that “seals” any sticker and can be attached to a weapon. The sealed sticker can be returned to your inventory at any time by breaking the slab.
Newly purchased Name Tags and StatTrak™ Swap Tools can no longer be traded or listed on the Community Market.
Gameplay
Increased the maximum effective value of sv_maxvelocity to 16,384 units per second (default remains 3500, unchanged). Fixed cases where the client incorrectly predicted jump button presses. Fixed cases where the client incorrectly predicted the peak of a jump.
The skybox on Inferno that was blocking grenade trajectories has been fixed. Among other changes, the standard bullet impact rendering distance has been increased, and glove models along with their animations in the UI and inventory now use Animgraph2—the same system used in first-person gameplay. A blinking light on the C4 model in first-person view has been enabled. The color scheme for Counter-Strike items in the Steam Community Market and Web Inventory has been updated to match item quality tiers, and overall game performance has been improved.
The Starladder Budapest Major 2025 will take place from November 24 to December 14. Thirty-two teams from around the world will compete for a prize pool of $1,250,000, with the winner taking home $500,000.
