
FlyQuest defeat 3DMAX and continue their run at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025
FlyQuest took down 3DMAX in a tense BO3 series at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. The Australian squad claimed victory on Train (13:9) and Dust2 (13:10), dropping only Inferno (8:13). Despite the loss, Maka stood out as the best player of the match, showing excellent individual form. FlyQuest now sit at a 2-1 record, while 3DMAX are one step away from elimination.
Train (9:13 FlyQuest)
The series kicked off on Train, FlyQuest’s pick. The Australian team managed to impose their playstyle and secured 7 rounds on the T side. 3DMAX tried to fight back on their own attack, winning the first 3 rounds, but FlyQuest were stronger on defense and closed out the map 13:9.
Inferno (13:8 3DMAX)
The French squad responded by taking Inferno. 3DMAX dominated from the very first round, racing to an 8:0 lead, but FlyQuest managed to recover and reduced the gap to 4:8. Switching to the attacking side, the Australians equalized the score at 8:8, yet Maka’s individual brilliance helped 3DMAX secure five rounds in a row and push the series to a decisive third map.
Dust2 (10:13 FlyQuest)
The final map, Dust2, turned out to be a close and nerve-wracking battle. The first half ended in a draw, and the second remained tight as well. Only in round 19 did FlyQuest manage to pull ahead and close out the map 13:10.

The hero of this intense series was Maka. Despite his team’s defeat, he delivered an impressive first kill/death ratio of 11:3, a Swing rating of +2.07, and an overall rating of 1.15.
FlyQuest continue to surprise fans and opponents alike with their strong performance, now standing at 2-1. 3DMAX, on the other hand, will have to fight for survival in the 1-2 bracket. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 takes place from October 26 to November 1, featuring a $625,000 prize pool, with $200,000 going to the winning team and another $200,000 to their organization.
